The hi-tech workplace of the CabFabLab consists of the following machines and work spots:
* Laser cutter: Epilog Mini 24 - 35 watt with a working range of 600 x 300 mm
* Vinyl cutter: Roland Camm 1 - GX-24
* Professional laser printer: Toshiba eStudio 5520c - A3 & A4 full color printer, copier & scanner
* Heat transfer workstation: to transfer full color prints on to textiles
* 3D printer: Dimension SST 1200es for making 3D models in ABS plus material. Maximum model size: 254 x 254 x 305 mm. The machine uses water-soluble support material, so the printing of complex and hollow models is possible. ABSplus is ideal for printing models with built-in hinges and flexible and/or moving parts without the need of subsequent assembly.
* Electronics work spot: for manufacturing circuit boards, assembly of electronic circuits and messing around with micro controllers (Arduino etc.).
* CNC router: for processing a wide range of materials including plastics, aluminum, wood and double sided circuit boards. This machine can handle materials as big as 1000 x 600 x 100 mm with 0.01mm precision.
* Vacuum forming machine: to extrude plastic parts with a maximum size of 480 x 420 x 140 mm
* Plastic bending machine
* Flame polisher
* Polystyrene cutter
* Dome blower
* Traditional wood and metal workshop: with a large selection of hand tools and various power tools. This facility makes it possible to carry out various activities, which usually cannot be performed in an office environment (read FabLab environment). Examples include drilling, sawing, milling, sanding, manufacturing and assembly of large objects such as furniture and 1:1 prototypes.
